UB Student Invitation

You've probably heard the good news: a person with a master's degree can earn $500,000 more over their lifetime than a person with a bachelor's degree. Your earnings increase by $1,000,000 for each additional degree, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. To learn more about graduate school, we invite you to attend the 9th Bi-Annual Statewide Student Graduate School Awareness Conference entitled “Beyond The Bachelor's Degree” on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The conference will take place at the Student Union. Previously, over 300 students from 25 colleges have attended this conference. With your participation, this year’s conference will be as successful.

Students from all disciplines will benefit from the workshops, keynote speaker and graduate school fair. Workshops will focus on issues students must consider as they prepare and search for graduate programs in their fields of interest. Presenters will include professionals from various fields, faculty members, graduate students, and graduate school admissions representatives. Our Keynote Speaker will be the nationally known and dynamic Dr. Pamela McCauley Bush from the University of Central Florida. Her presentations are energetic, motivational and memorable – you do not want to miss it!

The conference is FREE. Breakfast and a buffet style lunch will be served in Pistachios on the second floor of the Student Union. We are limiting the attendance to 300 participants. Please register online at www.ubevents.org/events/gac2008 before the Wednesday, October 1st deadline.
