The center will be recognized as a leader in educational research in the health professions and its implementation.

Mission

To promote excellence and innovation in educational research and its implementation through an evidence-based and interdisciplinary approach including faculty development.

Goals

Goal 1:

To promote, facilitate and conduct high quality educational research in the health professions

Areas of interest include educational games, educational outcome evaluation, simulation, workforce studies, methodology of educational research in health professions and professionalism.

Goal 2:

To foster development of facultyÙ­ across the health professions as educators, professionals and researchers

Areas of interest include teaching and evaluation skills, teach the teacher, professional growth, research skills, interdisciplinary team-building

Ù­Faculty are members of the regional health professions community engaged in teaching

To cultivate international collaborations to achieve the center’s mission
